Outbound Calls Blocked or Labeled as Spam or Scam Likely

Robocalls and caller ID spoofing have become a serious problem in recent years, with the FTC estimating that Americans received 40.7 billion robocalls in 2019 alone. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) created the protocols in response to the growing problem of illegal robocalls. As a result, carriers have been forced to implement authentication protocols.

Solution 1 - Enabling Verified Caller ID's

This is the simplest step to take when you are noticing people are saying your ID is showing up as spam. What we can do is "mask" your CRM number with your actual phone number to leverage the credibility of your cell phones number not showing up as spam.

  1. Log into the CRM

  2. Navigate to 'Settings' then to 'Phone Numbers'

  3. Select 'Add Number' > 'Add Verified CallerID'

  4. Enter your phone number and press 'Verify Number'

  5. Accept the phone call on your phone and validate the 6-digit code shown on the screen by typing it into the pinpad on your mobile device.

  6. After verification, go back to the 'Phone Numbers' tab and select your phone number inside of the CRM. Click the menu icon on the right-hand side and select 'Edit Configuration'

  7. Check the box beside 'Use your Verified Number as callerID for outbound calls'

  8. Select the new drop-down menu and select the phone number you just validated.

  9. Press 'Save'

  10. Done
