Book More Showings is fully compliant in how we run our advertising strategies with Facebook. We are a certified Facebook Partner and have been since 2018 and uphold strict internal and external policies to follow Facebook policy, for the safety of our business and yours.

It's not uncommon for Facebook Ads to be mistakenly disapproved or even in some worst-case scenarios, for ad accounts to be disabled (wrongfully of course).

We've found that there are two common causes of why ad accounts are disabled.

  1. Payment Methods Declining: This will happen because the way Facebook bills new accounts. With multiple small charges, it's not uncommon for banks to flag the charges as suspicious. This can be easily solved by calling the bank and lifting the hold.

  2. False Flags: It is common amongst the Facebook Advertiser community to agree that Meta will employ automations and computers to monitor ad account behaviour. By automating this activity, we believe its common for accounts to be falsely banned without notice.

How to Fix a False Flag Disabled Account

In summary, whenever your ads are flagged incorrectly, it's almost always because of Facebook's automation systems which leverage the amount of manual scanning required by their support team.

To request a review:

  1. In Business Support Home, click Account status overview in the left menu.

  2. Click the restricted account that you want to troubleshoot.

  3. In the What you can do section, click Request review.

  4. Complete the on-screen steps.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this affect my personal Facebook account?

No. Even with a permanently banned facebook business manager, you would never lose access to your Facebook account. This means your personal facebook profile, followers, and any and all business pages you operate could never be affected by your Facebook ad account. Additionally, we have alternative options if that were ever the case as well to ensure your ads are always able to run.

Why does Facebook ask for my I.D?

There are a few reasons you may be asked to send in a copy of your ID to Facebook. Examples include:

  • Confirming that the account you're trying to access belongs to you: Your security is important to Facebook. They ask for an ID so that they don't let anyone into your account except for you.

  • Confirming your name: They ask everyone on Facebook to use the name they go by in everyday life. This helps keep you and our community safe from impersonation.

We've found it prevents you from getting randomly disabled again in the future as well.
