How to Create Text/Email Templates (Snippets)

  1. Go to the Conversations tab

  2. Click on Templates (Snippets) at the top of the page

  3. Click on '+ Add Template (Snippet)' on the top-right.

    1. Select whether you want to add a Text or Email template

If adding a Text Template

  1. Name the template accordingly for future reference.

  2. Enter the text template in the big text box below. Be sure to use custom values if you are addressing the client by name in your message or will need other dynamic values.

  3. Optionally, you can attach a file to this template as well.

  4. Click 'Save'

If adding an Email Template

  1. Name the template accordingly for future reference.

  2. Add a Subject line

  3. Enter the email template in the big text box below. Be sure to use custom values if you are addressing the client by name in your message or will need other dynamic values.

  4. Optionally, you can attach a file to this template as well. You can also send a test to yourself at the bottom to preview what it will look like.

  5. Click 'Save'

How Do Custom Values Work?

Custom values are user-defined data placeholders that store and manage specific information within the CRM. They allow users to organize and retrieve personalized or standardized data without having to constantly re-type the same information over again.

Further, you'll be able to easily modify dozens of templates/automations at once by changing a custom value rather than modifying all your templates individually.

These templates can be used to efficiently communicate with your contacts in the Conversations tab

You can also use templates when building automations inside your Workflows

How To Change/Edit Text or Email Templates

If you ever wish to modify text or email templates, you can easily do so by following the instructions below. Our default text/email templates are based on practices and copywriting which has gotten consistent results, though you are always able to change them in a way that fits your business better.

  1. Navigate to the 'Conversations' tab

  2. Go to 'Templates (Snippets' at the top

  3. Select the template you wish to edit and press the 'Edit' button on the right-hand side

  4. Edit the template with your preferred text and press 'Save'
